Parachute valves, also called tube breakage valves, belong to the group of block valves. the valves are usually mounted directly on the cylinder in line. They prevent uncontrolled movement of the cylinder in the event of a pipe breaking or a flexible tube detaching. The LB type pipe break valve offers high safety against pressure peaks. It stands out for its secure closure that repeats with precision with the previously adjusted response flow. Larger flow rates cause flow forces to press a raised plate from the valve seat by spring force against the housing seat. The valve closes. A variant with a jet orifice in the valve plate allows a low flow in the blocking direction. The LB type is available as a screw-in valve or in a box version for mounting on the pipe.
