A hydraulic pump is an income-generating machine that transforms the energy (typically mechanical energy) that is actuated in energy of the incompressible fluid that moves. The incompressible fluid can be liquid or a mixture of liquids and solids as may be the concrete before it set or paper pulp. In general, a pump is used to increase the pressure of a liquid by adding energy to the hydraulic system, to move the fluid from a zone of lower pressure or altitude to another of higher pressure or elevation.
