Reduced male-female hexagonal counter thread, figure 246, brass threaded fitting that adapts one end of a female thread to another with a larger male thread.

It is a brass fitting that allows the end of a larger male tube or accessory to be adapted to a smaller female one. It is formed by a cylindrical end with an external thread and another end with a larger internal thread with an external hexagonal plane for tightening.
