- Unlike other flexible couplings in which the intermediate members support bending stresses and are more prone to premature wear, only the flexible teeth of ROTEX © couplings are subjected to this pressure. This offers the added advantage that each tooth tolerates higher loads. The elastomer deforms under excessive load and speed. Sufficient space must be left for dilation (see drawing to the right).
- The maximum angle of torsion with ROTEX © couplings of any size is 5º and they can be installed vertically or horizontally.
